The Industry Standards
It's what the Animation Industry and MPAA Censor Board dictate.  Use this to observe how I both follow and deviate from industry control standards in style, form, content and quality.

Understanding the standards of the Animation Industry requires some beginning knowledge of cartoon history.  To start, let's take things back to the Golden Age of Animation, when some of the most irreverent humor ever devised was born.  Obviously there was a proliferation of cartoon violence, innuendo, transvestism, racial slurs and wartime gags.  All of these have been the controversial topics targeted by cartoon censors.  The need for such controversial scenes to be removed arises from the fact that the cartoons originally created for adult audiences have been marketed more toward children.

Flash forward to modern times, with programs such as Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and Comdey Central.  Shows such as Family Guy, Futurama, South Park, Metalocalypse, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and the proliferation of Japanese animes all have contributed to the rebirth and revival of the Adult Animation genre.
